Well, to be real honest I had a harder time with this Thing. I'm not an auditory learner! I much prefer some some visual representation with the information. So, I checked out some video podcasts in iTunes thinking it may appeal to me. I still had a challenge finding one that "spoke" to me.
Now, I happen to already have some experience with podcasts in the classrooms. I think they are GREAT for kids to hear themselves to increase fluency and expression when reading aloud. So I do highly promote their purpose in the classroom.
I guess you can't enjoy all the Things. Sorry!

I totally understand about the auditory versus visual aspect. Depending on the topic I actually handle the auditory better. Your ideas for student use are excellent. I also think that podcasting parent coffees or weekly "parent talks" are grand ideas.
