Thing 23: Reflection

Yippie! Yahoo! Ta-Da!  You name it!  What an technology adventure this has been.  I choose adventure because it had it's ups and downs for me.  I was really gung ho for a while.  I stayed on top of things and referred to my discoveries with others often.  Then I hit a plateau.  I just couldn't get over the stump.  I finally accepted the fact that not all tools will excite me the same way as others do and I forged on.

I wasn't looking forward to the whole blogging thing, at first.  I am now pretty used to it and understand its purpose for this experience.  Do I think I'd ever keep one myself? I highly doubt it.  I just don't have that much to say.  I really enjoyed learning about Widgets; I had heard about them but never really understood what they were.  I also loved making my own home page. It was very hands-on and personal. Flickr has also been a fabulous addition to my tech arsenal.  I use it all the time now.  I enjoyed when we had some freedom to play with other tools on our own.  I really like some of the ones I found, such as Simply Box and TED.  Ooh ooh! Screencast was another great one!

I think this format for learning was brilliant!  It allowed people to play at their own pace and without pressure; yet, I also felt supported if I got stuck on something.  I would definitely participate in this kind of experience again.  I would love if access to the site would remain open.  I have already found myself referring to it for things I needed to find again (I guess I haven't got the whole Delicious Thing down yet.)

Thank you technology coaches for leading the way!  And thanks to those of you brave people that chose to read my babbling!

  1. You have done a great job and have grown in your use of technology. I too find that I am referring back to a particular Thing. Thank you for participating in this endeavor and making it richer for all of those involved.
